Love looks beneath, Love has a greater purpose..

today one of my coworkers placed something on my desk and said "amy, read this.." to him i replied.."this is my kinda stuff.." little did he know that it was something i needed to hear at the time. can you say Godwink?! (if you don't know what that means i will explain at a later date) so here it goes..

"God calls us to be faithful, not successful. He calls us to follow those dreams that are in our hearts and to pursue them with all our might. Sometimes they will proceed in ways that make them a 'success' in world terms, but other times it may feel more like futility. Sometimes we'll be able to witness changed lives, and sometimes the only life we can see changed is our own.

God's scorecard is different from ours. He does want to bless us, but His scorecard doesn't use money or material possessions or fame or status. He judges by the state of our hearts and our desire to serve Him.

But the LORD said to Samuel, " Don't judge by his appearance or height, for I have rejected him. The LORD doesn't see things the way you see them. People judge by outward appearance, but the LORD looks at the heart."1 Samuel 16:7

Don't ever sell yourself short. God's purposes are greater than man's purposes. There is much to do and much that you are capable of doing. What kind of world do you want? Think anything. Just be careful what you wish for.
